About
Thomas Copeland is an adventure and expedition photographer whose work focuses on the intersection of exploration, environmental issues, and global health. He is dedicated to inspiring others and raising awareness through visual storytelling, documenting the individuals who risk their lives in pursuit of exploration, particularly in the fields of medical and scientific research. A wilderness first responder and member of the The Explorers Club, Thomas brings an expedition-minded approach to documenting research, conservation, and exploration in remote environments.
With time spent in Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Nigeria—and upcoming expeditions to Uzbekistan and Ecuador—he hopes to continue expanding his portfolio internationally and taking on significant roles in research-based expeditions.
Thomas has extensive experience in avian conservation and bird banding for migration research, as well as audio engineering and field-based audio work. He has served as the media director at Health In Your Hands Diagnostics since 2025, and is eager to make a difference through storytelling, documentation, and drone mapping to support efforts combating neglected diseases.
Thomas is from Waco, Texas and is currently based out of Jackson, Wyoming.
